The killing roads
Av: Lasse Lambrechts, Tove B. Knutsen

As the first media house in Norway, Bergens Tidende has obtained access to The Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s database of all serious road accidents since 2000.

We have plotted each individual accident on the map to the left, to help you get an overview of the extent and causes of the accidents. Each marker contains details about the accident, i.e. time of day, type of vehicle, age of persons injured etc. By using the buttons below the map, you will be able to analyze the information you select. Create your own assemblies.

The database contains 11,440 accidents in which 317 are missing location information.
